Snack Bites with LilPinkiesUp

We had the pleasure of meeting Allison founder of LilPinkiesUp.  She had a few minutes to answer our snack bites.

What inspired you to start your business?

I was inspired to start LilPinkiesUp after seeing the dramatic difference in my own blended family’s eating habits after we began exploring outside the box of “kid food” by cooking together and making food a FUN and inclusive process. Since I had such great success with my own family, I wanted to begin helping other families caught up in the same mealtime struggles I was facing.

What is something special unique about LilPinkiesUp?

The food! In my kitchen, we are consistently expanding the minds of what kids can eat, and you would be happily surprised to see what kids will explore when given the opportunity to think beyond nuggets and fries! Your child may make fried rice with caramelized kimchi, or vegan double chocolate avocado cupcake in my classes!

What is your favorite snack?

Oooo…. I think my go-to snack foods are usually at Trader Joe’s! I love their “Everything But The Bagel” seasoning, Greek yogurt dip with some crunchy crudites (thin cut up veggies!) or their whole wheat honey pretzel sticks. I’m also a sucker for a Madagascar vanilla bean glazed doughnut from Sidecar Doughnuts-YUM!

Tell us one of your hidden talents…

Being a guest at my own dinner parties! The French call it “mis en place”, I call it “everything in its place”. Prepping ingredients, making things ahead of time, and keeping my kitchen organized sparks joy in my life!

Special offer: sign up your Little Chef for a fun cooking class.  Go to LilPinkiesUp for a 10% discount (PADO10) good through the end of Jan 2021!
